More weirdness

So today when I get home our dog Buford had left a guest on the doorstep.  Of course this is no longer alive, but what exactly is it?  Groundhog? 

Random stuff

We have the most random stuff happen on our little slice of heaven.  

Last year we were overrun with mice so hubby found a small kitten.  Aka. PattyCake. 

So this year we only has one mouse in the house, thank goodness. 

I was awaken by what I thought was a mouse at 4 am one morning. Got up to kill the thing. It wasn't a mouse but a flying squirrel and it scare the poop out of me when it flew at me. Not scare if it but it was coming at me.  Have you ever really wanted to scream but can't cause you don't want to wake the hubby. Yeah that was me. 

After the flooding last week a cotton mouth snake decided to visit my porch it is no longer alive.

Then over the weekend a copperhead was in my little dog pen. My dogs wanted to get him and i wanted to get my dogs. Then the cat thinks she can take on the snake. It too is history. 

And yesterday the dogs, yorkies, were going nuts thinking we had something under the dresser. I go to get the flashlight and in my hallway was a salamander. It got chunked in the yard to find another home. Oh and nothing was under the dresser. Thank goodness.  

Life on a farm. Always I interesting and full of excitement. 

Computers.

I am trying to clean up my computer so hopefully it will be more functional.  And have enough space to install tax program...

I think it might drive me nuts...

Finally well

After a month and a half of being sick I am finally over the crud and flu. Nobody wants that stuff.

I hate being sick!!!!

The whole month of December I was sick with sinus, cold, etc.....thought I finally broke thru it after two dr visits, much meds, four shots in the rump and then yesterday the coughing started again..   Ughhhhhhhh.   I do not have time for this again!

Sitting in the walk in clinic waiting to see the doctor. Dang sinus infections. Hurry up and see me and give me a shot already.

Not much going on around here farm wise....

We had family here for thanksgiving and enjoyed every minute of it.  My daughter-in-love came over and helped me clean and make sleeping space for 9...

I am spending most of my time quilting.  I am working on Bonnie Hunter's new mystery...  I have till Friday to get Step 2 complete before Step 3 arrives...

Also planning to work on another quilt for a family member...

Progress

It seems like forever since I posted here.  I have been busy making six quilts for a lady.  I deliver today..woohoo.

Then it is on to finishing up some more.

I took cayden to see grandma and grandpa and the guys had to take the tractor and go haul some rocks.

Our grandson is coming..

It sees like forever since our boy was here.  But he is coming for the weekend.  Yay!   I don't expect to get much quilting done.  But that is okay, these babies grow up way too fast.

Labor Day

I had the day off from work but I have been busy all day.  I completed the six quilt tops and a couple loads of laundry.  Now on to dishes...uuuggghhh I hate washing dishes.

Sunday

My hubby told me the NASCAR race is tonight so I will get some much needed sewing in today after church.  It has been a busy last couple weeks trying to finish sewing projects, getting insurance claims gathered up.  Mailing those Tuesday.  Finally.  But I have a lot to get complete before vacation/reunion.  My sister and niece all be coming to visit and I have not seen them in two years.....  Postings maybe sparse.

Teeth are for eating not a tool to open things!!!!

Well August 9th is my dental apt.  I sure am dreading it.  Last September 5th, Labor Day, I was using my teeth to open a lemon packet for my tea.. And my front tooth broke.  Well after trips to three different dentist and lots of praying , it looks like I have to have a bridge on my front teeth.  I know almost a year later, but I had to wait for my dental insurance to start.

So prayers are appreciated.  This is at least a two month process, depends on how well I heal from having the tooth pulled.

Quilts

I made headway last night.  I have all the pieces cut and sewn into HST  and will spend tonight pressing them.  Ironing is not my favorite thing to do.  So this week I can get together with the lady I am making them for and we can design blocks the way she wants them.  Then the real sewing can begin.  I have a goal of having them completed by the end of August.  That will be 5 quilts in two months.   I think I can, I think I can......
